ProCon low pressure water mist system
Viking ProCon is our low pressure water mist system for protecting cable trays (PC-C) and industrial risks (PC-M).
The systems are flexible enough to address a wide range of severe fire risks—from conveyors and cable trays to transformers—while remaining durable enough to perform reliably in harsh conditions. Moreover, ProCon systems share a similar design and installation process with deluge systems (using open nozzles), yet they require up to 60% less water supply.
ProCon PC-C – Cable tray protection
ProCon PC-C systems use innovative low pressure water mist technology that offers particularly efficient firefighting for cable ducts and cable distribution rooms.
Thanks to their special nozzle design, ProCon PC-C nozzles dissipate water very finely. Even at the lowest operating pressure of 4 bar, they produce water droplets with a fine distribution. This allows the system to fully take advantage of the benefits of water mist technology.
As part of the full system approval from VdS Schadenverhütung, the ProCon PC-C nozzles have been subjected to rigorous component tests and full scale cable tray fires to prove their capabilities.

ProCon PC-C – System design
The ProCon PC-C system is a classic deluge system at heart and is designed as such. With a straightforward design manual to advise particular design criteria, those familiar with deluge system design can get started immediately.
The system is sub-divided into one or more extinguishing zones. Each zone is controlled by a fire detection system connected to a deluge valve.
