    Our four CSR pillars

At Viking EMEA, we recognize that our success is not solely measured by our financial achievements, but also by the positive impact we have on society and the environment. Our CSR initiatives are rooted in our core values. Accordingly, we strive to operate responsibly across all facets of our business, contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve and the planet we share. We base our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment on four key pillars:

    • Environmental Responsibility
    • Social Equity
    • Ethical Governance
    • Community Engagement

These pillars guide our efforts to make a positive impact on society and the environment.

4 CSR pillars Viking EMEA sustainability

    Environmental Responsibility

Environmental responsibility for Viking EMEA sustainability

We are committed to sustainable practices that reduce our environmental footprint. This includes adopting green technologies, minimizing waste, and conserving natural resources to ensure a healthier planet for future generations.

Among the measures implemented by Viking EMEA, we are progressively reducing the carbon footprint of our company vehicle fleet by replacing thermic engines with hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

Our environmental commitment extends beyond our own operations and into the products we bring to market. As part of this approach and for full transparency, Viking has released its first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for one of its flagship water-based fire protection products, our XT1 sprinklers. Viking’s EPD provides a detailed view of the product’s environmental impact throughout its life cycle, from manufacturing to end-of-life impacts including recycling benefits. By making this information publicly available, Viking provides customers with independently verified environmental data to support informed decision-making.

    Social Equity

Social Equity for Viking EMEA sustainability

At the core of our success are our people. At Viking EMEA, we foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with respect and given equal opportunities to develop their potential. Through technical training, professional development programs, and digital learning platforms, we continuously invest in the growth of our workforce.

We also recognize the importance of improving diversity across the fire protection industry. As part of this commitment, Viking EMEA supports initiatives such as K(vinn)-Faktor in Sweden, a networking event that brings together women across the industry highlighting the contributions women make to the future of fire protection.

    Ethical Governance

Ethical Governance for Viking EMEA sustainability

Integrity and transparency are essential for maintaining a company’s integrity and reputation. At Viking EMEA, we are committed to conducting business in an ethical, responsible, and transparent manner, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.

To support this commitment, Viking EMEA has established a Business Partner Code of Conduct that defines the expectations for suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and other business partners. The Code is based on the principles of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Global Compact, as well as applicable national and international laws and industry standards.

In addition, Viking EMEA is committed to the highest standards of quality and continuous improvement through its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The same commitment can be seen in our product approvals and certifications. Viking products holds internationally recognized certifications such as FM Approvals and UL Listings, alongside a wide range of European and local certifications, including VdS, CNBOP, and CE marking.

    Community Engagement

We are dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve and helping build a safer world for future generations. Therefore, our experts are devoted to sharing their knowledge and experience through conferences, training sessions, and industry events. We strive to play a proactive role in promoting fire safety awareness and prevention.

    Ecovadis

Since 2024, Viking EMEA has reached a Bronze Medal in the Ecovadis evaluation. Ecovadis is increasingly requested by our clients and partners to demonstrate the dedication of a company toward a greener and more socially responsible future. This distinction places us in the top 35% of over 100,000 companies. Among these companies, Viking ranks in the:

    • Top 23% for environmental impact
    • Top 33% for labor and human rights
    • Top 18% for ethics
    • Top 8% for sustainable procurement

This achievement reflects our commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. It also demonstrates our dedication to policies and key performance indicators aligned with Viking’s four sustainability pillars.
