    Viking EMEA is actively expanding and to enhance our position on the market we are looking for the right person to join the team as the Marketing Manager for a temporary maternity cover replacement (duration of 12 months from November 1st 2025 till October 31st 2026).

    The Viking EMEA Marketing team consists of 4 marketing specialists covering communications and campaigns, events, graphic design and documentation, product information and systems co-ordination.

    The mission is overlooking holistically the marketing function, building a strong marketing team further professionalizing it, contributing to ideas of campaigns, taking full responsibility for the marketing budget and its output as well contributing to a strong team working atmosphere.

    The Interim Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans in a B2B environment contributing to sales and profitability growth. The Interim Marketing Manager is a leader and continues building the team.

    The Interim Marketing Manager is positioned in the center of our organization working with various departments as well the outside world and is ultimately responsible for outgoing communication and customer engagement as well as providing data to business areas such the management team, sales, customer services and product development team. The Interim Marketing Manager reports to the Sales Director.

    Responsibilities:

    Full responsibility of the Marketing function:

    • Define marketing strategies with sales, product management, and operations
    • Increase brand awareness and contribute to market share growth
    • Analyze and feedback market trends including customer behavior & competition to colleagues
    • Develop, manage and monitor the annual marketing budget
    • Develop and maintain corporate identity and associated templates
    • Deploy successful marketing campaigns including social media, (written) content creation and maintenance
    • Monitor marketing campaigns performance
    • Marketing initiatives for product launches and growth territories
    • Event management
    • Develop with HR team employer branding strategy
    • Drive innovative and capturing ways to engage with Viking customers and stakeholders

    Management, and Team:  development of the marketing organization and investments

    • Build, maintain and upgrade an outstanding and motivated team in the marketing department
    • Review and improve individual and team performance – contribute to a performance driven organization, roles & responsibilities definition, job descriptions, appraisals, create a “best place to work” environment in the office
    • Identify, propose and justify third party service provision
    • Manage the marketing budget taking ownership and accountability of the marketing function 

    Reporting line & travelling:

    The Interim Marketing Manager reports to the Sales Director. The role is located in Luxembourg and requires travelling within EMEA (appr. 10-15%) and, occasionally, intercontinentally.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Proven experience in B2B marketing
    • BSc/MSc degree in marketing or related field (sociology, business statistics, economics)
    • Hands-on experience of developing a marketing strategy from scratch
    • Outstanding leadership and communication qualities – you know how to drive change, get people on board, motivate and work with them and create a positive working environment
    • Excellent analytical skills and ability to create action plans, juggle multiple projects and monitor progress
    • Results and metrics oriented
    • IT skills, including social media
    • Fluent English is required, German language skills are a plus
