    Due to the growth of our company, we are searching for an entrepreneurial Sales colleague to enforce our team in East Europe. The Sales Engineer will take part in the execution of a Commercial & Sales strategy that will contribute to the achievement of Viking general objectives and more specifically to the profitable growth objectives in Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. You will be responsible for the sales of all our products to the fire contractors in this area. Your duties include account management, business development as well as networking in the engineering/building community and supporting local industry related organizations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be responsible for the sales performance of your area
    • Enforce Viking S.A.’s local presence by managing and supporting the company’s mission and policies in order to build up strong and trustful relationships with customer and stakeholders (end users, governmental authorities, building/industrial/fire protection lobbies)
    • Provide valuable local market input and work with the central functions (e.g. Credit department) to optimize the sales
    • Engage with clients to understand technical requirements to recommend optimal solutions in all Viking EMEA product families (water, foam & gas suppression systems, detection and control)
    • Continuously improve and optimize the sales of your area at sales, margin and cost levels
    • Provide local market information to the central teams
    • Work together with the local team to reach the annual sales of your location and company targets
    • Define the strategies for local business following the guidelines, goals and targets received from your Local Sales Manager

    Reporting line & travelling:

    You are preferably based centrally in the sales area and work from your home-office.

    The position requires traveling (3-4 days a week); mostly in Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, but occasional visits may be required to other specified countries. The Technical Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Manager, based in Warsaw in Poland as the territory is handled by our Polish business unit.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Technical background, a bachelor’s degree or similar in Engineering, Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field; fire protection will be a strong asset
    • At least five years of experience in technical sales
    • Valid driving license and ability to drive
    • You are a good communicator, ideally in several languages of the sales area (Hungarian, Slovak and Czech) and English for internal communication

    • Commercial mindset with a customer-centric approach
    • Business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to manage your own territory
    • Strong negotiation skills with ability to close deals effectively
    • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize your workload and weekly activities
    • Willing to travel throughout the respected territory/countries, some business trips across EMEA region to attend company meetings or events (3-4 times a year)
    • Able and eager to learn new products, systems to present to customers
    • Enthusiastic with the drive to succeed in a competitive but developing market
    • Able to build trust and confidence with customers by helping and providing pre-and after sales support
