    Due to the growth of our company, we are searching for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager (BDM) to strengthen our EMEA sales team within the Gas Suppression product line. The BDM is instrumental in the executing the commercial strategy, contributing to profitable growth across Europe and increasing market share withing the Gas suppression sector.

    The main aim of the role is to develop the overall Gas Suppression market in Europe, build strategic partnerships, and expand our presence across verticals including data centers, computer rooms, logistics and industrial environments.

    Key objectives of the role are:

    • Build a strong network of customers and strategic partners across Europe
    • Promote and specify our Gas Suppression Systems to major end users, particularly within data centers and other critical environments
    • Grow sales of existing and new gas suppression products through distributors, installers, system integrators and end users
    • Increase specification opportunities within data center, logistics and industrial sectors

    Key responsibilities:

    Strategy & Market Development

    • Identify and enter new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities
    • Develop and implement business growth strategies aligned with company objectives
    • Conduct competitive and market analysis to support commercial decision‑making

    Sales & Revenue Growth

    • Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, events, and digital channels
    • Establish Viking’s presence as innovative gas suppression provider across Europe
    • Build strong and trustful relationships with customer and stakeholders (end users, consultants, authorities, industry bodies)
    • Work closely with local sales teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial offers
    • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider fire protection portfolio
    • Manage key customers and develop long-term customer relationships
    • Track KPIs, sales targets, revenue forecast, and pipeline progress

    Collaboration & Internal Coordination

    • Work together with Technical Support, Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction
    • Provide valuable local market input to Product Management and represent end-user needs
    • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider EMEA organization to support growth initiatives and share best practice

    Reporting line & travelling:

    The role involves up to 50% travel and can be based in any country where Viking has an office. You will report to the EMEA Gas, Detection & Watermist Team Leader.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Proven experience in business development and growing a customer base
    • Strong technical knowledge of Gas Suppression systems and relevant industry standards
    • Understanding of key verticals such as telco, datacenter, computer room, warehousing, logistics, cold storage, and industrial facilities
    • Strong understanding of the fire protection value chain (manufacturer à distributor à installer à integrator à end-user)
    • Ability to communicate product value proposition to influence the specification consultants and key accounts
    • Extensive network within fire protection industry
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other European languages as a plus
