    Due to the growth of our Water Mist business, we are looking to strengthen our team with a Technical Support Engineer specialising in Water Mist fire suppression systems. The role will support customers and Viking teams for water mist project opportunities across EMEA. The position plays a key role in supporting the growth of the Water Mist business while contributing to the product line development and strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide responsive technical application support for Water Mist projects across EMEA, helping internal and external customers develop practical system solutions and enabling timely quotations
    • Support the growth of the Water Mist business through preparation of bills of material, technical submissions and solution recommendations for customers and internal sales teams
    • Act as a trusted technical resource for Water Mist opportunities, supporting customers and colleagues from initial enquiry through quotation
    • Develop Water Mist technical competence across Viking and within key customers over time, reducing dependency on centralised expertise

    The main responsibilities of this position are:

    • Prepare bills of material for Water Mist systems based on customer requirements, specifications and tender documentation to support timely quotations
    • Provide technical application support for Water Mist projects to customers & colleagues
    • Prepare technical submissions and supporting documentation for customer projects and quotations
    • Support customers in developing practical Water Mist solutions and system concepts
    • Provide technical support, including on-site support when required, to customers, colleagues, specifiers and end users
    • Provide advice on the advantages and application of Viking solutions compared with alternative solutions available in the market
    • Support sprinkler-related technical enquiries as business priorities require
    • Organise and deliver technical training for customers, colleagues and partners as well as Viking Local Technical Support and sales teams
    • Gather customer and market feedback and support Product Managers in identifying opportunities for product improvement

    Reporting line & travelling:

    The candidate should be based in one of our European offices (Italy, Spain, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands, the UK).

    The role reports to the EMEA Gas, Detection & Watermist Team Leader and may require occasional travel across the EMEA.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Experience within fire protection industry specifically with water mist systems, experience with sprinkler systems is also acceptable
    • Experience supporting customers, developing system solutions, preparing quotations, bills of material, providing technical application support, and interpreting customer requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions
    • You are comfortable working directly with customers, contractors, consultants and distributors interpreting their requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions.
    • Experience designing sprinkler or water mist systems is advantageous
    • Knowledge of fire protection standards and approvals applicable to sprinkler and water mist systems is advantageous
    • Fluency in English. Any additional European language is a plus
